Allowing relaxation

Of muscles and mind.

What's your go-to for relaxing lately?

I went to hot yoga last night, starting and ending with the class and a really great meditation time in the middle. My airbnb host is picking me up for another hot yoga class this morning. Same plan. Setting an intent of relaxation, clarity and an open heart.

I'm recognizing feeling good and am valuing this.

Today I had a gentle flow yoga class and became aware of a growing inner strength, fire and joy melding together.

A deeper awareness of everything being okay, in this moment, and of life continually changing for the better.

An allowing of good things to happen in my life. A willingness to enjoy good and welcome more of it.

The more I allow deep relaxation and willing to wait, pause, slow down, my productivity is increasing with an ease and flow to it.

My third yoga class of the day is coming up, at a local yoga center that has three studios in nearby towns. My focus is on what I can be a part of in healthy ways, having mental balance and joy.

I am enough.

I just love hot yoga Mango--I wish we had a studio near us that offered it.

I can heat a room and do it at home, but there is something about the "melding together" that isn't just within the self, but is also within the group.

It's the synergy / energy of the positive groups you find in most yoga studios.

I'm glad to see you are taking care of you.

Glad you are taking good care of yourself Mango!

I have been trying to do nice things for myself of recent as well. I just got a haircut at a nice salon the other day, it was not just a haircut but an experience! Head massage, hot towels..the works.

I have been eating right and journaling. And today, I am getting a tattoo! It's not my first, but I have been thinking about this since I got divorced (and it's been a few years), so I am pulling the trigger today!

I love the softness, colors and textures of yarn.

I've become trusting of intuition in going to a wide variety of yoga classes.

Allowing good feelings, law of attraction and meditation to guide my day.

Hawkeye, hopeful and Florence, thank you for being here.

Being outside working in my gardens
amongst pretty flowers, birds singing,
the sun above, the comfort of knowing
that the Man upstairs is guiding, protecting
and strengthening me while here on Earth.

Surrendering into a new kind of relaxation today. Picking up my camera, getting out among people and doing some street photography. Trusting the process and as I'm feeling a strong gut instinct, now is good timing, it is. It's been a long time since I've done this.

I have skills to use. I have confidence that strengthens, one day at a time.

Today's planned relaxation:

Floatation tank.

We have a new place that has great reviews. I met someone yesterday who is a high-energy, athlete/businessman, high-achiever who had good words about it.

This was something I've been interested in doing and it seems like good obvious timing.

From tips for floating: "The mantra 'I am safe and protected, this time is for me' is one idea you could roll with."

I like engaging in certain kinds of work. Yesterday I bought a roll about tool chest to get rid of the clutter on my garage work bench. I had to assemble it. I plumb wore myself out. Part of it involved lowering the heavy main component of 5 drawers onto the partially assembled rolling part. The directions specified doing this with assistance, but I was by myself, so I raised it up three feet with my come-along from the garage ceiling and then lowered it slowly into position. Once getting it partially bolted together, I quit. I'll go back and finish the job today when it warms up later on.

I find this sort of thing physically exhausting but mentally relaxing. In my younger days, I built three houses by myself, basically three years of non stop carpentry, interrupted by having to go to my job. I love carpentry. I take great pleasure in these kinds of things.

I wish I got as much pleasure out of house cleaning and keeping my house neat, but I basically hate that, so I don't work very hard at it. I do like yard work. I love mowing and weeding and improving my lawn. It's an escape from doing other things I probably should be doing.

As I allow total relaxation, there is a counterbalance of more. More awareness of how my body responds to my moods and feelings, more gentleness of self, more allowing happiness.
