Faith
It's dark outside. I'm thankful for warmth, shelter, good food and good people. I'm thankful for safety and protection. I'm thankful for many ways I've been able to provide for my children, those who are now grown, and DS11.
Tomorrow the sun will rise again, and it will be spectacular. I have faith in this.
When my "dis-ease" wants to lure me into shame, fear and isolation, I will take this one day at a time, use recovery skills and make it through it. It gets better.

I wrote on a different post "selfish, woe-is-me thinking mired me in the muck" in regards to this type of thinking being a symptom of alcoholism. It affects my husband, who is alcoholic, and without my own recovery it greatly affects me, the non-alcoholic, too.
One foot in front of the other. Baby steps. Leaps of faith. A beautiful world to be a part of.
I have faith that all is well.

I'm slowing down and taking baby steps again today.
A pot of soup cooking. A load of laundry being washed & dried. Dishes are washed. I'm greatly appreciating and enjoying having the place and abilities to do these things.
There was a beautiful snow here that's now melting and intensifying autumn colors.
