Finding it so,so hard today. Feeling very low. Alternating between feelings of shame about the whole situation continuing as it did, and then feelings of guilt that he's feeling bad. Then of course the anger that after everything over the last couple of years he'd just expect me to ignore that fact that he'd decided to drink again 'to make him happy'. We sat together in a Doctors office in January and he heard the Doctor tell me that is 'he ever picks up a drink it is very important to get away and not hang around'. I don't usually like anger / bitterness, but feel like those emotions are keeping me safe from contacting him at the moment.

Sometimes mornings are the worst, probably still some alcohol in their system from the prior night/day. Then the sports drinks start even worse. I don't think chemically enhanced behavior is that far from a person's true colors or character. Just makes it easier for them to act out.
