Recovery journeys
Journeys.
Not a sprint, a race or a sudden "fix" of person who is blood, bone, tissues, cells, soul. Not for me or anyone else. A journey of discovery, of healing.
Honoring my own journey of accepting myself, of discovering new ever-changing viewpoints. Honoring my imperfections and having brilliant moments of clarity where the moment I'm in -- just as is it -- is enough.
Hard times had gained my focus and things spiraled downward.
Learning how to shift my focus, to let myself feel all emotions as they come up and then re-shift again, just like changing gears on a bicycle. There is abundant goodness in this world. It is possible to focus on this. It is possible to change the direction of my thoughts.
As I find, enjoy and have heart-felt gratitude for the beauty, fun and wonderful things in my life, they multiply. I naturally have a new momentum towards a life I'm greatly enjoying.
One day at a time.
Recovery.

Willing to explore deeper waters
By sitting on the shore
Watching reflections
The fish swimming by
And my moods
As they shimmer into my awareness
These too will pass
And all around me is calm
I feel balance in Nature.
All is well.
