Daily drinking wife
Hi, Dean.
After I stopped drinking, I kept using the wine glasses for sparkling beverages and had the occasional n/a beer.
In time, I recognized that tho I was not drinking, I was still clinging to the rituals of drinking, which are, imo, very powerful.
After a while I set aside the behaviors.
I found that I really didn’t cate for the n/a beer taste and found far more flavorful things to drink, like soft cider, sparkling water and flavored lemonades.
I too see your wife’s drinking non a as a substitute and somewhat of a red flag, but it’s very early days for her recovery and I wouldn’t rush to judgement just yet.
End of the day, she is going to do what she is going to do, and you must do what you feel is best for you.

Thanks Feeling great. That makes a lot of sense. She does put the Alcohol free wine in her usual wine glasses, also we still go to the pub at weekend and have one or two alcohol free lagers. One day at a time, progress not perfection.
