I see that you are starting to reach out now, and you will be getting a lot of validation. I did that also. I thought I was crazy or a bad wife, I learned a lot.

There is a warning here though. You will be getting stronger, but I'm thinking right now that you should keep things to yourself. The reason that I say this is because when you are in an abusive relationship, they can sense this, and when they do, they increase the abuse to make sure that you are too afraid to leave them.

I went through that, and I am also one of the ones that just wished that hit me to get it over with already. He would only stop when he saw marks on me that he would want me to cover up, so that there was no physical proof that he was abusive to me.
