Recovery tools: At the end of the day

Lighting a candle. Writing gratitude lists. Mentally, emotionally and spiritually letting go of anything I've been exposed to or been a part of during this day that doesn't add to the goodness of life.

I'm identifying three interactions I'm having a hard time letting go of. Blessing each one.

What are some of your "end of day" recovery tools?

What an uplifting idea for a thread, Mango. Thanks.

My three things are

- brief review of my day. Did I do my best? Is there anything I can learn from my attitude and behaviours? Was I rude or use my sharp tongue on anyone? Do I owe anyone amends? This review cleans my slate all fresh and ready for tomorrow.

- I like to pick out an inspiring talk on You Tube to listen as I doze off to sleep.

- I drink in the peace, calmness and quiet of my lovely bedroom I have created for myself. I do a little email to my sponsor, just to check in. Mention anything going on.

A cup of tea, brewed in a small pot.

Reading in the quiet because now, without AH here, it still seems like such an indulgence. I can sit down, relax, enjoy my tea and read.

Taking all these in today as as honoring/recognizing/letting go of things as I leave last week behind and enter this new one.

"Where Zen meets REM, here are six easy yoga poses to activate the Parasympathetic Nervous System, which helps to counteract stress and promote relaxation.

These postures can work for anyone, including yogis and non-yogis alike. The best part: all you need is a pillow and you can do this sequence right in comfort and ease of your own bed!"

Making different plans today for fun & games, maybe an afternoon nap, leading up to early morning viewing of the Perseids meteor showers. Allowing them to take my intentions, hopes, dreams and any loads I'm carrying that I need to let go of.

Doing this again, today.

1. I open my heart to this new week.

2. I release all doubts and fears.

3. I let go of any loads that aren't mine.

4. I breathe deeply and exhale with joy.

5. I appreciate this life, this day, the newness of this coming week.

6. I set intentions of joy, happiness, healthy connections and curiosity.
