Hang in there COD. I can imagine the wait and "anticipation" is difficult. If you are anything like me, you have probably had 100 two way conversations and scenes in your head. I admire your strength

It didn't happen today either.

Oh yes, Clover - I have had many conversations in my head, of course during those I have all the appropriate responses to her. In reality I probably won't know what to say.

idk about you,COD, but when i have that happen, best for me to say nothing. if i had to search for what to say, the majority of times it came out either sideways or misconstrued.

I've been that way with perfect conversations in my head that never seem to go quite that way IRL. It's impossible to know what the other half of that dialogue is going to be exactly, so I stumble the minute it goes off-script.

Now it's so much easier to skip the mental anguish/waste of time beforehand & trust that I'll deal with it to the best of my ability when it happens organically.... but it took a while to get there.

I'm still a work in progress when it comes to stifling the AHA comments I have after the conversation is over though - I'm learning to text but not SEND until I've had time to step away from it. LEARNING.

Maybe it’s not so much the words because you know they’ve all been spoken before. Maybe it’s more about your attitude and keeping calm rather than fight/argue back. Maybe no words are the best words.

COD - can't the service people tell you when they are heading out?

I know I've done service stuff with my old job and they would give you a round about idea. At least that day.

Maybe they can, I haven't asked. It didn't happen today because she took him directly to elementary school. At least I have a quiet weekend.

COD- my lawyer coordinated my STBXAH getting served and the guy called me just before he went to deliver it and right after it was done. You are paying for the service so you should be kept directly in the loop. I would recommend speaking with your attorney and getting the contact info. I can’t imagine just having to wait not knowing exactly when it will happen.

The snow was a one-day event. Supposed to get freezing rain this weekend - yippee. Would rather have the snow.

People can't drive in this stuff. We get an inch of snow and it takes 3x as long to get somewhere. I grew up in the secondary snowbelt in NE Ohio - 4" of snow is a dusting up there. We get a half-inch here and schools are delayed or even closed.

LOL like the UK. I/2 inch of snow and everything grinds to a halt I keep refreshing this thread. I think we are all waiting with bated breath now.

LOL - I'm in Montana - we can get 2 feet of snow with -40 degree wind chills! I, as a kid remember thinking, DANG I bet school will be shut down today, and nope....it just means you wear your big coat and face mask while you hike your butt there.

Oh geeze....I just did a 10 miles to school barefoot in the snow, up-hill - both ways story....

COD - do you think there's the slight possibility that she knows that she's getting served, and is making efforts to avoid the server?

Wouldn't be the first time it's happened.

I have not received info that the server has not been able to track her down, so I'm thinking he hasn't made any attempts, or very few. The one place I told him to go to meet up with her she has been there most of this week except for today.

And if she thought she was being served, I doubt that she'd be as nice as she's been the last couple of weeks.
