I am talking about The Recovery Follies.....a forum located at/near the very bottom of all the forums.....
It is a great forum....some of the best and funniest stuff....
Guranteed to bring you a laugh,,,or, many laughs....
Laughter is truly the best medicine....even if
it just gives us a minute or two of respite from the negative vibes of the rest of the world....
It reminds us that there is joy in just being alive.....
Honestly, if it were not for humor...I don't know where I would be today...
Here is the thing....I was here on the Friends and Family forum forever, before I discovered the Recovery Follies, at the bottom of the main forum page.....And, I can't believe that I missed this great resource for so long!!
It would be so great if all of the people on Friends and Family (and, anyone, really) would share their humor there, also....share some of the best parts of ourselves....
It is a win-win for everyone...one gets a moment of fun...and, has the opportunity to cheer up somebody's day, at the same time.....
I start most every day with my tea, by checking out Recovery Follies. The one place where the burdens of the world are pushed aside....

dandy, I'm going to piggyback on your thread here and mention the "Spirituality" and "Cafe Central" areas of the forum too.
Like dandy, I didn't find these other sections of SR for a long time either, but I'm so glad I did. It's nice to take a little break and get my spirits lifted by some of my fellow SR members, and to see what they're up to in the rest of their lives.
For the former, let me put in a plug for the "Spirituality" section, found here: https://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/spirituality/
And for the latter, I will link to "Cafe Central", where you can find any number of groups w/particular interests:
https://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/caf-central/
Remember, if a thread interests you, use the "Thread Tools" heading (black bar directly above the first post on the page) and click on it. Then choose the last option "subscribe to thread." This way you'll get a notification each time someone posts on the thread, so you can keep up w/what's going on w/o having to remember all the threads you're following.
