It seems like a pretty good life they've carved out. A nice home in a horse pasture with a pond, plentiful fish nearby, wintering in Florida.

It's a treasure to be able to watch. Can't wait till the littles are standing and jumping around. They're not even a month old!

Look how they've grown. 20-ish more days and they'll fly away...if they don't fall out of the nest first.

They're 49 days old now. That's the mother with the white head.

I posted this in Weekenders:

I'm just fascinated by all this. I kept watching, but if he had gotten it to the nest it would have been pretty crowded!

My local eagles have been hanging out in a different tree just across the river from my window. Tis the season for bunnies, and there are lots of them in a warren just across the river, I see them every day at dawn and dusk. Might be more interesting than I'd like.

The eaglets are flapping a lot and both got themselves up to the "veranda" branch a couple days ago. It's a matter of time until one or the other leaves the nest. Pretty exciting times in the lives of the eagle family.

They are 63 & 64 days old.
