Come and get it everyone!!

The table is laden with good things to eat...turkey & stuffing, corn chowder, mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, asparagus, broccoli and cauliflower, and green bean casserole

Leave some room for dessert, though, because what Honeypig brought is totally worth the wait!!!

I'm here plate in hand first in line

I think I'm taking two plates--one for all the side dishes and one just for turkey,
potatoes, stuffing and lots of gravy on all of it.

I'm so greedy for Thanksgiving food. . .
Seren, you've outdone yourself.
Such tender turkey, and all the side dishes are amazing.
I even love the the vegan dish

I won't have seconds to save room for Honeypig's treat

Loads of folks walking through the neighborhood, so if Honeypig is up for it, or anyone else for that matter, I'm heading out for a walk now...

And I must admit to having ulterior motives...I'm going back for another lemon bar, a fruit tart, and if I'm feeling particularly frisky, some hot cocoa!!

Pictionary tournament to follow....!

I am back from my family visit and wanted to stop in and say hi to my SR family! It makes me smile to read about everyone's great day--although I am so full that I can hardly even read about all the great food now...

I hate to miss out on the Pictionary, but it's been a tough week at work (I had 34 hours in by the time I punched out Wednesday and then put in 4 more this AM making sure everything was ready for the routes as well as for delivery to our other 2 stores), and I'm going to turn in now. Thanks for another lovely Thanksgiving, everybody. Hugs to all.

I hope everyone has had at least a few moments of peace today. Don't forget to take your bag filled with leftover goodies as you leave! If you weren't able to join us, just grab one of the bags and take it home for your own fridge I hear leftovers are good for Black Friday shopping days!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

After all of that wonderful food....I think I will just lie on the sofa and watch my "Buns of Steel" video again.......

OH, I got a really good laugh because of Fire Sprite.....I read her post as "26" quart crock pots".......rather than "two six quart crock pots"......
I thought---Why would she have 26qt. crock pots---unless she has been cooking for the US Navy???................lol......

Funny how many of us are on SR on Thanksgiving day! We went to a family members house today and RAH had another tantrum and stormed off early, walking home by himself, it's a looong walk but he refused to let me drive him. I refused to let his sour mood ruin our kids day so I decided to stay a little longer. I just came home to an angry dry drunk who isn't speaking to me now, I went upstairs and got on SR and saw this post. No matter what any of us are going through, today or any day, you guys always remind me that it doesn't have to strip us of all the joy life has to offer. The kids and I had a wonderful meal with family and friends, complete with 6 homemade pies to choose from. It was a beautiful sunny day, and my kids and their cousins played on the trampoline and their laughter filled the crisp fall air. I felt their happiness. I can't believe one person thinks they have the right ruin that happiness for everyone else. Thanks for this post and making me smile today! Happy Thanksgiving!

I had to google chickenfoot dominoes, since I had no clue. I'll watch, how's that? I'm not very good at card games, and I suspect I may not be a winner at dominoes, either, but it sounds interesting!

It’s easy.
Our friends, who lived in Texas for many years, where it is popular, I guess, taught us.
We played a couple of weekends with my sil, and bro and other sil like to play too.
It’s best with 3-5 people, so you gotta play, HP!

I too am late for the party but the lure of pumpkin pie for breakfast drew me in.

I shall make turkey pot pie from the leftovers and perhaps a cheeseball to see us through the weekend.

Yum! How do you get your crusts so perfect, crispy, and golden brown, Ann?

Those look uh-maz-ing, Ann. We've also got turkey soup! Well-seasoned and with lots of noodles, for those times when a full-on open-faced turkey sandwich with potatoes, stuffing and gravy is just too much.

(Do those times actually exist?)

Oh thank you! I'll bring Twister and marshmallows and skewers, if you have a place to roast them.
