Update
Well it's almost a year ago when I started posting here. I had just kicked AH out & I was at my lowest. He is now my XAH. His drinking has progressively gotten worse. He is no longer working.
BUT there is some good news. I had taken all the advice from people here & worked on changes for me. I GOT A NEW JOB that pays more. So I won't be financially dependent on XAH. I have joined some social groups, & I just feel all around happier.
There are still some days where the sadness hits hard (can't call it depression any longer), but those days are rare now. Once I set my mind to it I forced myself to change. I intensely focused on positive changes & stopped dwelling on the negatives. It sounds too easy and it really wasn't. But I just kept at it. It was really hard at first & I thought I was going to feel like a failure forever. I think once I realized I didn't have to deal with XAH any longer things started slowly getting better.
My only regret? I wish I would have left him years ago.
