I'm so sad for you that you are dealing with this.
Regarding the drunken, abusive behavior. I am a mandated reporter. If your child came to me to tell me about the incident last night (you locked in your room, AH raging drunk downstairs), I would be required BY LAW to report to CPS.

It does not matter whether he typically rages at the kids, if they see him raging at you, creating fear and panic in the house, this is a major concern. Don't minimize. You and your kids are worth safety and peace of mind.

This behaviour is seriously unhealthy for your entire family.
You and your children are at the mercy of his mood and attempts to control.
Please stop this from having further future impact upon your lovely children and yourself.... Be the lioness, protect yourselves and escape as soon as is safe to do so.
