"Rock Bottom"
"Rock Bottom"
I've barely begun reading, "Unwasted: My Lush Sobriety" by Sacha Z. Scoblic, but this quote caught my attention right away:
"You haven't hit bottom until you stop digging. Bottom isn't skid row or the heartbreaking sound of a child coughing; bottom is just where you happen to be when you stop tunneling and start climbing."
What a simple way to say it - Rock Bottom is simply the moment you decide to stop digging & start climbing.

I read it a while ago, and I remember I liked it. EXCELLENT description of what "bottom" really is. My late sponsor used to say that "every bottom has a trap door," too. And it's true. But the more positive idea is that you can choose your bottom (lol, I originally typed "pick your bottom" but that brought a rather gross image to mind).
