Adding my prayers & positive thoughts Lex. You're a ROCK STAR so I'm convinced this will be nothing more than a speed bump in your path this summer.

(glad to know I wasn't the only one who expected this to be about the foundation/house though! )

i dont use the word,"hate" very often, but one thing i use it for without a problem:
i hate cancer.
i found humor helped me out tremendously through my personal fight with it.
like this:
goin through chemo, i was in rough shape. walked( if thats what it could be called) into the bathroom to get sick(again). got done, looked at myself in the mirror and thought,"oh, what a lovely shade of green/yellow my skin is. huh!! it makes my teeth look REALLY white!"

lookin for ways to get money to support my gardening "problem", i found out a lung goes for about 50k on the black market.
maybe a damaged one could get 20k.

ya got some prayers from me and pete thedog, lexie!

Lexie, add my name to the list of those who felt certain your foundation was causing you more trouble! But as you said, thank heavens it's only a LUNG! I mean, holy COWS....

You will be in my thoughts, and I certainly hope for everything to be just as smooth and swift as possible so you can get back to "life in Lexie's world."

Hi Lexie. Sorry to hear about the report, but it is good that you caught it sooner rather than later. Positive vibes are coming your way from the Emerald City!

Now I'm GLAD I bought all those damn Fluevogs. If having a closet full of new footwear doesn't represent the promise of a bright future, I don't know what does.

Thanks so much for all the good wishes. I'm leaving here in just a bit to go for a training out of town tomorrow. So no worries if you don't hear from me this afternoon/tomorrow.

Gotta keep that good humor going and positive thoughts. I am also a cancer survivor (2007 breast cancer) and I want you to join the "I kicked cancers a$$" club!!!

The week long hospital stay may be a good time to let those wonderful nurses do what they do best, take care of you!!

Maybe a pair of these, Lexie--they're kind of like wingtips, appropriate for a lawyer:

The style is called "Heal", and it looks like it's part of a group of shoes called "The Miracles", all so appropriate too! Here is the link: https://www.fluevog.com/shop/5101-heal-canada

Sorry to hear about your tumor, glad the prognosis is so good. My great uncle had a lobe removed from his right lung after they found a tumor.

Later that year he came out to see his brother, my grandfather. He flew from South Carolina to California for his birthday, I still have a photo of him blowing out his birthday cake.

My grandmother had promoted me (I was about 7) to ask Uncle Austin if he needed help blowing out his 60+ candles. His reply? "When I hit 100 I might, as for now I'm fine." And in one swoop he managed to do it. He died many years later from an unrelated cause.

Keeping you in my thoughts.

Good grief!!! For a moment I thought saddle shoes were back in fashion.

Lexie, I am cheering you on.
