William Alexander quotes
I just this AM stumbled across a poem by William Alexander and posted it over in the Spirituality section of the forum, in "Earth Prayers."
However, I looked up some more of his quotes and found 2 in particular that kind of smacked me between the eyes and wanted to share here.
Here's one:
One event is an anomaly, two is a coincidence, and three a pattern.
And here is the other:
The great, terrifying existentialist question : If you were doomed to live the same life over and over again for eternity, would you choose the life you are living now? The question is interesting enough, but I've always thought the point of asking it is really the unspoken, potentially devastating follow-up question. That is, if the answer is no, then why are you living the life you are living now? Stop making excuses , and do something about it.
Hope they speak to some of you folks too.

The second one...wow. That is a tough one. On one hand I would never wish to relive all of the heartache I've had with my AH, but the other hand we have a beautiful, awesome son together and I would never want to change that. I will say that I do srruggle with guilt for bringing him into a world with his dad being an alcoholic....😔
