I hate to hear that, hopeful...so sorry and many hugs. This disease is awful. It is dumbfounding the grip addiction has on so many.

Hopeful,
It makes me sad. Before I divorced axh, I told him that was going to die from alcohlism, and his response to me is "that he had to die from something". It just kills you inside, doesn't it. Sending hugs to you!!

I am so very sorry, Hopeful.

Each time someone dies from their addiction, my heart hurts for them and for all who loved them.

Our friend died a year ago today, early 50's and great person until the booze grabbed him.

So I will spend special time today and pray for the addict/alcoholic who still suffers.

Thank you friends. His family is struggling, but they know that there was not another single thing they could have done. They had tried it all. Now I simply pray for their peace.

Today is the 3 year anniversary of when I kicked out my XAH. Over the weekend my daughter had to come home early due to his drinking...again. It's just so sad to me that this is our lives. However, just like my friend's family, I know I did every single thing in my power to try to get my XAH to be well. Unfortunately, he is not mentally or physically there, and I have to continue to expose my daughter to him, over and over.

I hate addiction.
