Update Hello I haven't been here in a while. My divorce was final at the end of 2015, after 19 years of hell being married to an abusive alcoholic. I am involved in Al Anon and found a wonderful church that I love. There was this guy at church that I started to show some interest in, until I found out that he has been running around with much younger ladies and drinking heavily. Um, just no. Don't want that mess and the interest I had went away. I enrolled in the community college and finishing up a medical administration program in April. I have finished up one semester already and got a certificate for medical coding I just completed. I am really looking forward to a career in coding. The boys are doing fine. They have adjusted for the most part with their dad and I being divorced. Life is so much better now without all that pain, chaos, and toxic family dysfunction that is par for the course in alcoholic families. I don't regret leaving. I am so much happier not having him in my life. Sue |

L, Congratulations for taking charge of your life after 19 years with an addict. You are an inspiration to all the women and men who are afraid to take that step. We all have the power inside of us to move forward, we just need to dig deep. Hugs my friend and good luck in the next chapter of your life. |
How wonderful for you!! I am so happy that you are happy! Good luck with the job!! |
