Disgusted

I'm disgusted by my husband's behavior Tuesday. His total lack. I called my father to get more boxes out and to talk to lawyer about GL process. They are overbooked here so I hope they take the time.

Hang in there HH. The small steps add up. We're kind of like those little toy cars....you pull them back, and at some point, the gears start clicking and it's time to launch forward. Then we're pulled back again, and launch forward even further. I believe these hard moments lead us to change!

Yes. Scared that they won't really listen.

Well, their entire reason for existing is to promote the interests of the kids. Several people here have had good experiences with their GAL.

I'm working with a GAL now during the divorce process and so far she has been very attentive. She does home visits, speaks with the kids and any collateral contacts my ex and I have given her. It's so early in the process so it's hard to say how I feel about her, but it's been nice to have someone there that is looking out for the best interests of my kids.

Not sure how it is in your area, but where I live, you can disqualify a GAL you are not willing to use. So research, research, research! Find a good attorney who knows who the good GAL's are.

Their job is to look out for the children, so I would give them the benefit of the doubt that they take that job seriously.
