OT: Drowning in my own thoughts tonight...

...literally just drowning.

I have sung in many choirs over the years, so listening to really great choirs helps me sometimes. This is the Westminster Abbey Choir singing the Gardner arrangement of the Christmas carol "Tomorrow shall be my Dancing Day".

I don't know why - never heard of him before a few years ago - but the Norman Luboff stuff still gets me and lifts me up

take care and try and rest easy Seren

Lovely.

A very long time ago, I sang in a SATB choir that performed "I Have Had Singing" by Steven Sametz. Once I found out the story behind it [LINK HERE], it became a source of comfort for me.

:yikes: I can't even talk this morning I cried so much last night! Sometimes you just need to cry...and talk to a good friend :)

Sorry I embedded the videos, Mike...I'm sure the images take up a bit too much room on the server! Thank you for taking care of that!

Crying is a good healthy thing to help
purge out all those pent up feelings.

Sharing and getting those feeling out,
talk about it allows you to receive some
good ways to avoid reliving those negative
feelings and learn how to avoid them
when they creep up at any given time.

I hope you find peace and happiness
in whatever situation you are facing
at this time in your life. :)

No worries, no worries at all. It's hard to remember when it's so easy to embed them. They are lovely videos, even if they are not quite my style ;)

Mike :)
* Seren knows I prefer Klingon opera. She is very kind about that and just rolls her eyes *

Are you a Klingon or a Vulcan?

PhoenixJ 12-03-2016 03:35 PM

There was, is and will only ever be 1 Spock.

teatreeoil007 12-03-2016 04:54 PM

Today my hair is Klingon!! I want a Vulcan mind!!

DesertEyes 12-03-2016 05:23 PM

Oh my goodness, you all are cracking me up.

Guess I am the one who started the hijack. Sorry Seren :(

Shall we take the Trekker convention to the cafe? and return this thread to it's owner?

Mike :)

Thank you, Cap! That's beautiful :) Very helpful in my current 'mood'.

PhoenixJ 12-04-2016 03:03 AM

CZ- baZINGa, thankyou.
As to all this nonsense about Star Trek. Fascinating.....

DesertEyes 12-04-2016 07:38 AM

< heavy sigh >

allright. I give up. Never mind the hijack I guess I am out-voted.

Yes I am a Klingon, officially registered with Universal Studios. I had a gig with them during production of "Undiscoverd Country" and that was one of the benefits of working there.

Here's some Klingon Opera:

(((Seren)))

You guys crack me up :)

Live long and prosper, all.

teatreeoil007 12-05-2016 01:43 PM

Sorry. I didn't mean to get off track. I'd just never heard of "Klingon Opera" and it really caught my eye because I've always loved Star Trek. Funny thing: When I was pregnant with my son I worked the 3-11 shift. After work at home there would be old Star Trek re-runs on TV that late at night, so I would wind down from work watching those and eating a good bedtime snack. Then later in life when my son was a bit older, he and I would watch Star Trek (Next Generation) every afternoon together.
