No worries, I am the one who started the hijack. Seren has given the official OK to take this thread into places unknown

It comes from NextGen. There is an episode where Worf is listening to Klingon Opera and giving everbody else headaches. It was meant as just filler, but fans got on a roll and the concept took off. After that one episode the writers kept making references to opera and it has taken a life of it's own.

Being a trekker I must say there cannot be a better way to have quality family time

From one trekker to another, thanks! My hair really was a bit like the Klingons Saturday; sort of frizzy and unruly. Oh well. I don't get too bent out of shape if my hair's not just right.

Hahaha! Of course you would like the redhead, Mike

Worf may have been compelling, but it seems to me there was another Klingon male with gorgeous long hair that all the ladies liked

I do admire their "big hair" somewhat. It brings back memories...Big hair was all the rage during my college years and it was quite fun. Such a passionate people, those Klingons.

I know. < heavy sigh > I have a deep weakness for red-heads. Has gotten me in all kinds of trouble, which is why Seren teases me about it

It came back into fashion for a bit in Las Vegas. Didn't last long but it did make quite a splash. That red-head I mentioned loved big hair. She is also 6 foot tall and loves to wear heels. Add it all up and she made Klingons look short.

Yes indeed, makes the Italians look boring. Did you see the scenes where B'Elanna Torres tried to get along with Seven of Nine? It was hilarious, those two actresses did a wonderful job.

Oh this brings me back to my HS days, when Dr. Demento first introduced me to "Star Trekkin' Across the Universe". I've been humming that damned tune all day.

Yes I vaguely remember that episode, Mike. I also vaguely remember some episode in which there was a newborn Klingon baby. It was sooooo cute!!

It came back into fashion for a bit in Las Vegas. Didn't last long but it did make quite a splash. That red-head I mentioned loved big hair. She is also 6 foot tall and loves to wear heels. Add it all up and she made Klingons look short.

. She sounds gorgeous.

Last time I was in Vegas I was out shopping and someone approached me and struck up a conversation...then asked me if I was "working". Ahemm. I'm not quite sure what kind of "work" they were referring to...I was a bit taken aback....then of course answered, "Oh no, I'm just visiting". Anyways, I thought Vegas was really fun (even though I don't gamble) with lots of cool places to visit-cool shopping malls, not to mention wonderful places to eat. I don't often splurge on purses, but I found a Michael Kors camoflage purse I simply had to have.

Sorry, way off topic. I'll stop now. It don't take much to get me off topic.

Seren, thanks for being such a good sport!! You're a sweet, sweet lady!!

In Vegas that means that you are extremely atractive, confident, very fashionable and always in control.

Not to be confused with "do you work?", which is an entirely different issue. That one is asking if you are wealthy to the point of not having to work for a living.

Vegas really is an entirely different universe.

Oh good. There really is a lot to do for such a small city. People-watching can be educational. I'm glad you liked it.

* lol * We've gone where no one has gone before, discussed hair fashion in aliens, took a detour thru a different universe, I don't think there's any place this thread could go that would be any further "off"
