I have been taking the advice here and taking care of myself. I went grocery shopping and fixed supper last night. He missed it again and tried to eat later. He kept going and laying down and then coming back. He said his back hurt really bad. He never got his food ate and there was mashed potatoes and gravy and fried chicken. He has a ton of dishes and a shirt left in the truck from his running around Sat. and I am not bringing that in. He has a sack with MD's food and I am not throwing that away. He left the lawnmower and weedeater out and it is raining. I have been typing like crazy and just taking care of me and the kids. More hugs for them and lots of snacks stuff for them to eat. I am babying them and me. He is still asleep this morning, but he has a lot to do when he gets up, like pay the bills. He has drank everyday and at work too. He has had it all his way. :tongue3: Hope others here find help and relief. The detachment advice does work. It does not mean you do not love him, but you love you too. Take care.

And you are inspiring me. I'm also working on detachment and for the first time this morning, I really don't care that he doesn't want to go with me to an activity tonight and if he drinks, I'll just come home and go to the guest room and I really don't think it will bother me.
