Always the Victim

So, AW has been telling some close friends about her getting fired - but the story doesn't seem to include her part in the whole affair - she plays it as being just a victim. I want to take these people aside and say, "Wanna hear the WHOLE story?" But it will all come out in time once the divorce is initiated.

Side note: her former boss (with whom she had the emotional affair) got fired on Friday.

It's like a soap opera in my household!! "Days of our (COD) Lives!!!

Whoopee!

Yikes. Hope things are moving along with the lawyer?

I would not be surprised now that her boss is unemployed and has too much free time (along with a wounded ego) if the pseudo-affair doesn't start up again. So if she suddenly starts guarding her phone and going on long, vague "job interviews"...she may end up giving you more evidence for gaining full custody.

Good luck...some day this will all be behind you.

Playing the victim = poor me, pour me a drink!!

Not surprised her boss was also fired.........water does seek it's own level. I'm sure he drinks as well and I'm sure she was not his first in appropriate relationship.

He got fired from his previous job for sexual harassment of an intern. And yes, he does drink, and drinks a bunch. He and AW would send each other pix of their wine glasses at night so they could "have drinks together" (her words). And yet, she denies being involved?!?!?!?

Not surprising-this is how they get through life-victim stories. Funny that they never tell the whole truth or anything remotely close to it. They leave out critical information just to make themselves look like the one that is being victimized. Don't worry about explaining to anyone-they'll see one day. You just worry about you and kiddo!

Hang in there.

And at the end of the day people figure it out. We don't have to say or do anything to enlighten them.

I agree. Keep it classy C.O.D. You share a child. Believe me, it all comes out sooner or later...

In the end, she will be the only person believing her own stories. It is very sad, when you think about it. There is a phase when kids start making up stories, and some of them tend to be really impressive, and of course, everyone else knows that the story is not true, but the kid keeps lying and adding on to the story.

It is really sad when an adult slips back into the kiddy lying phase.

Aww how sweet. Wine glass pics. Ew. Harassment of an intern. Double ew. Just curious - where do you get all this detail? I would leave their trashy stories to them - if she tries to engage you into this garbage, just refuse. Reminds me of my XAH insisting in describing all of his drunken/drugged travels and stories. Or quacking about how "faithful" he was. I just say - I don't need to know any details. It is almost like feeding the self pity monster for them, I think.

One of my ex's closest female friends sent me message about my ex a while back which said something like "she lives in a world of b-llsh-t".

The saddest thing is that alcoholics can lose objectivity to the point that they cannot even see how ludicrous the stories they tell actually are.

They honestly think that everyone believes them, when in reality their friends are sick of hearing stories that are so obviously false.

My ex's best friend told me a while back that she was dreading meeting up with my ex, because her best friend said "she will just tell me a bunch of stories about you that are clearly not true".

Bear in mind that these are my ex's two closest female friends.

Denial is such a sad thing.

My ex's best friend contacted me in the midst of my ex's drinking and warned me that my ex was telling stories about me that were clearly not true and made no sense.

So I told my ex's best friend the whole story. She "got it" immediately.

And I forgot to throw this is earlier - she found (snooped) thru a box I had brought home from work when I lost my last job. In there was a Thank You note from a girl with whom I worked, thanking me for the wedding gift that a GROUP of us gave her.

AW accused me of chasing after this girl and having an affair!! All over a damn Thank You note!!!! And then she thinks that having 'drinks together' over Facebook messenger with her boss is "just being friends".

The insanity of it all.
