We are a family of three...
 

My youngest daughter is three-she was asked to draw a picture today of her family. She drew me, her sister and herself. That is what's real to her and what she knows...and truthfully it had been like that even when I was pregnant with her and way before the divorce. I looked at the drawing and looked at her beaming proud eyes as she was so proud to show me her artwork. Yes, we are a family of three-and I'm forever grateful for that. We are not lacking anything. We have love, truth, open struggling with grace and honesty, with no damn elephant in sight-just the three of us. In this family, the best number after all of the crap my ex has pulled is THREE. A quote from my song (you know, we all have that one song that sums is up!) from the Dixie Chicks-"long time gone".....there's a part of the song that she belts out "with six strong hands on the steering wheel". Ain't nothing wrong with that!!! 3 is my new favorite number. :tyou

And a beautiful family of three at that! This is awesome and God is good!
