Glad it went well and I really hope you get a good, quick settlement offer Lexie.
You help a lot of people. . . seems like some good karma should be headed your way

I agree with Hawkeye. You are so calm and smart and helpful. You must have great karma, and we know you have the skills and intelligence, too. I hope the issue is resolved soon.

I don't know why, Lexie, but this just made me laugh. It made me wonder how many inappropriate things you wanted to say. Like there was this barely containable bawdy sense of humor just aching to come out.

Well, thank goodness you kept the lid on it.

I'm glad the day went well.

LOL, nah, I was actually referring to my occasional tendency to get a bit TOO casual/friendly/joke-y when I'm nervous. Kind of a form of people-pleasing--get them to like me and they will be nice to me. And to some extent it is OK--to the extent they see me as an actual human being, it can help--at least with some adversaries. These guys all represented insurance companies (insurers for the defendants). So it wasn't personal, it was just business, and business doesn't have to be unpleasant. I mentioned how I went to criminal law because I hated doing depositions so much. I think they could relate to that. I don't think they enjoyed the process any more than I did, so anything to make it a bit less painful for all involved was appreciated, I think.

You deserve all good things. You offer so much support and guidance to so many (me included!). Good things are coming to you for sure.

I don't know much, but I've seen enough from your posts Lexie to know that you'd be an AWESOME witness! They aren't going to want to pull you to the stand, you'll be too credible. I think you'll get a good settlement. Having been deposed before...but not a lawyer like you...that's my $0.02!

Glad it went well!
