DD10 was EXTREMELY left out two years ago when a lot of publicity was made of her dads multiple arrests and subsequent firing from a VERY public local job... I think that her inspiration for this idea stems from having experienced that loneliness herself and having to pretend she was ok when she wasnt... Maybe your DD10 could propose to create this at her school too Hopeful? I think this ought to be standard at all elementary schools and have half a mind to see if DD10 wants to make it a goal to do so in our state :)

She is brilliant, and you should be so proud! What a compassionate and kind child! My DD is 10 and we have been talking about this recess issue lately as she is having a small struggle right now.
