Whew, back after a long absence.
But it's true, the more things change the more they stay the same.

As incredible as it seems my brother is still alive.
He was told in May 2014 he had "a few weeks or months"

Thanks to SR and Al Anon I did detach, and lo and behold.......the song remains the same!

He is still ill, still bouncing from home to home and still freaking drinking and drugging.

His last phone call to me a couple weeks back was literally word for word the same old mess. I responded with very little interest and the call was brief.

Thank you again for helping me see that the only person who can help him is HIM. And I have to take care of ME.


So glad to be on the other side of this particular fence............

littlesister.....I know that you love him. You will have to love him from a distance because (I know) it hurts too much.
As long as he is alive...there is hope that he may want to get sober.....it has happened to others who appeared to be hopelessly lost.....
