On Saturday we are probably making our annual holiday cinnamon rolls. Last year we made almost 200 rolls. We give them to teachers, day care providers, neighbors, co-workers, etc.
MMMmmmm, sounds good, Wisconsin!! Happy baking!

I'm grateful that my new "hang out on Tuesday nights" friend sent me some flowers. I haven't received flowers in...I don't even remember. I'm even MORE grateful that I have come so far in my recovery that I can just be grateful for them, rather than struggle with accepting someone doing something nice for me, because I fear it will be thrown back in my face repeatedly in the future, and/or used as an excuse for why I am obligated to put up with a bunch of horrible behavior.

^ yes! I hear ya, W! I ended up hating him giving me flowers bc they were just a makeup for some awful treatment and I think in his head really excused his treatment of me or our kids. I hear ya-and am happy you get to finally enjoy your flowers

#58 - So grateful that I was able to use my bonus rewards to get one of these Gaiam yoga ball chairs for DD's desk. She often sits for hours doing homework, reading, etc, so this is going to make a huge difference! After using one for just 2 1/2 days at my office I am in love with it!

And, psssst! Wisconsin!

I'd happily take that cinnamon roll recipe if it's a tried & true favorite tha you're willing to share. I was looking for something new this year for my goodie baskets & that might just do the trick! (I just worked on my cookie list last night, perfect timing.)

We use The Pioneer Woman's recipe. This will be our fifth year doing the holiday cinnamon rolls.

Cinnamon Rolls 101 | The Pioneer Woman

Her recipe says that refrigerating the dough before rolling out the rolls is optional, but I always do for about 30-60 minutes. It makes the dough easier to work with, because it is super sticky. The recipe makes about 50 rolls, but it is easy to just halve all of the ingredients for a more manageable 24-25 rolls.
