How do your mental health and work suffer?
I guess we all know how living with addiction can affect a family member’s well-being, but looking at the these numbers is quite eye opening for me.. Almost 50% of respondents have experienced physical, over 90% verbal or emotional abuse. Just so much trauma behind these numbers…

Yep. *Raising Hand*
Before I met an alcoholic I was a bright, vibrant, social, productive, happy guy.
Then you meet someone who asks you to help them find the peace I had when we met. I didn't know she was an alcoholic. Never met one before then.
Before it was over I was seeking mental health counseling for depression. Was diagnosed with PTSD as a result of the cheating that took place that I had been convinced was my fault. I had blood pressure problems. Sleep disorders, sexual dysfunction, the list was getting longer.
It was during that time that my therapist started shining the light on addictions. And that shifted to my ex. Once she became my ex, normalcy returned to my life.
