It's been two years since I found SR......
I haven't been on for a few months, but I missed you guys! Over the summer I decided to spend less time on the internet, more time outside, and really focus on my writing. Things have been good. I also have two part-time jobs so I am very busy but that keeps my mind from thinking too much.
I have gotten more into Buddhism and found a great community which I love being a part of. My dad helped me buy a camper and we set up a campsite near my parents' house. It is a beautiful area, but I can tell you that being around them more sure made me realize what A LOT of my triggers are and why. It actually helped me work through many things that stem from my childhood. My parents are great people and do the best they can, like we all do.
I still struggle with depression but I try to keep my head up as much as I can, and I am so grateful that I feel more positive and less ****** these days. It helps that my BF has been sober since January and has worked very hard to maintain his sobriety and grow as a human being. I am proud of both of us and all we have overcome. We started couples therapy last week and it was really productive. Hopefully the few issues we do have will be resolved in time.
I just wanted to say hello and thank each and every one of you for your help, insight and compassion. I would not be where I am today without the information, love and support I've gotten from this site.

RB....it's so great to hear from you! I am so glad you have found some serenity, and really happy for your BF that he is doing so well in his sobriety! That's great news.
