Great weekends? I'm 2 for 2!

The kids and I enjoyed yet another weekend of no beer stink, everybody enjoying hanging out together in the living room (instead of hiding in bedrooms), no passive aggressiveness, no name calling, etc. AH flaked out on taking our son on Sunday. I imagine stuff like that will happen more and more.

As of right now, this coming weekend could be my VERY FIRST WEEKEND with no kids. My daughters are staying with their dad, and AH says he plans to take our son for the whole weekend (he had quite a shame spiral last night after failing to spend Sunday with our son as he had planned). More will be revealed on that one, but if it all works out...what on earth will I do with myself?

The past two weeks have been so, so great. For me, for the kids, and even for the dog. I've kind of been waiting for that feeling of "why did I wait so long to leave?!?" but I've stayed very gentle with myself on that front. I left when I was ready to leave. And that's enough for me.

Fear not, you'll have "one of those days" soon enough.

Glad you're having such a pleasant transition, though!
