AH is on his way home
Rats. I was really hoping he wouldn't get back until after the move. He should be home later tonight, which means about 36 hours under the same roof until the move.

I'm OK. At this point, just tired of the constant anxiety. The subject of my departure came up once during his absence, and in that moment, anyway, he was accepting of it. We all know how mercurial he is, though. As always, I have an emergency plan in place.
Just know that I will be thinking of you, saying prayers for you, and also worrying about you. Now go get a move on with that packing.
Hoping you have a chance to check in later tonight.

Can you move sooner? Call others to help with moving & storing things for a few days? Stay somewhere peaceful in this transition?
Having alternatives helps, even when I don't act on them. As I open myself to others and learn to receive help, the more joy I'm seeing in life.
Wishing you serenity this weekend, however it comes about. ((((Hugs))))

Thanks guys. Ktf, Monday is the absolute earliest I can go. Amy, he's not back yet. I'm guessing another few hours. My guess is he will be too tired to be awful tonight, and he will save it for tomorrow. But I'm ready for anything.
I guess they are going to the bar for 6 hours to celebrate. Hope it's not like the night I had once, it was the scene from "The Shining". So my ex just drove for 3 hours from Atlantic City. He gets home, opens the door, just sticks his drunk face in the door, and announced, "Here's Johnnie". He actually looked just like Jack Nicholson at that moment.
Hoping you have a relaxing evening and a good night sleep.

Yikes!!^^ Here's hoping you DON'T get a Jack Nicholson moment, Wisconsin!
With any luck, that extra 6 hours will turn into an extra 12 hours will turn into an extra 24 hours and you won't have to see him after all...

The night was fine. No idea what time AH actually rolled in. I heard him come up to bed around 1:30. There are enough empty beer cans in the trash that he will probably sleep til noon.
Thanks for the update, Wisconsin! Hoping it all goes smoothly and quickly, and wishing you a lovely peaceful first night at your new place (unless of course the heroin addicts there make trouble...).
I wish you SO MUCH strength today, sounds like you're going to need it for Detachment alone, lol!
For reals tho, tread lightly today.... it seems obvious that he's made it a point to be there today to harass you however silently or passively. .... he's never made it such a priority to be home "on time" before, has he?
