Grateful Red
Hello Everyone!
Wanted to express my gratitude for this forum and being a part of it. It often still is unbelievable to me how 'just' going to a meeting or peeking in on this site posts quietly enhances my life greatly. It is amazing how much more relaxed and calm I feel, how much all of my relationships (at work, family, friends, ALO etc) are more loving -I didn't have to TRY changing them, nor did I force/manipulate these things. I let go and my HP is driving, although I am still the navigator of my free will. Today I am so happy, creative, calm, & even started singing along again with the tv/radio songs once again.
Thank you for all the love and support!

You are so right, Red. Recovery is like a river. Once you climb onto your inner tube and jump in, it just carries you along - very little paddling required.
All we have to do is jump in and quit worrying about getting wet !
Thanks for posting the good news.

It is amasing all the wonderful little things we lose or stop doing when using and how it takes sober time and prayer for them gradually to return. To feel like singing along with the radio again is truely a returned blessing. Such things are what makes life worthwhile. Thanks for your upbeat post. It helps me to remain hopeful while doing the hard work of recovery
