I hadn't talked to my son since I uninvited him to the party, and so this past Saturday I was running errands and decided to call him. He didn't answer, so I sent a text to ask if him and his gf would like to come to dinner this week. About an hour later, I noticed I had a missed call from him and then he had texted me back that they would like to come, and which night did I want to do it? We texted a few times and set it up for this Thursday.

Then yesterday, I knew he had went crabbing with my stepson, and he called me later in the day to ask if we wanted a dozen crabs. I said yes, and we rode down to get the crabs from him. We visited for about 45 mins., and he said "no hard feelings. I love you mom" I didn't really say anything except I love you too. Then he said "oh I almost forgot" and reached in his pocket and pulled out a $100. bill and said "here, this is towards what I owe you". So, jokingly I said, "wow, I came down and got a dozen crabs and a $100. dollars! I'm coming down here more often". He gave me like 4 hugs before we left. He had a beer, but he was not drunk at all, which I was so glad about.

So, I guess we survived the whole thing and I'm happy we are talking. Just wanted to let everyone know what happened.
