An Unlikely Aniversary
 

It was a year ago on June 22nd that myAH fired that gun into the ceiling that set us on the road to where we are now. June 25 will be our 38th and last anniversary and it won't be celebrated. The divorce should be final soon. We actually are being decent to each other for the sake of the kids. I have moved into my moms house behind our house. Our son is in the process of trying to buy our house and if that works out, I will be thrilled to be a backyard Grandma like my mom was to our kids. Tonight he is in the hospital. He's having hallucinations. Hopefully this may be a wake-up call for him. I certainly hope so for the kids sake. But our marriage is over. There's no going back. I'll be glad when it's over and done. It's been a hard year but we are survivors!

cherra, what a hopeful and lovely update. I hope the sale goes through and you do get to be a backyard grandma because it would be ideal for everyone.
My DIL is due in a week and I think I'll just pitch a tent in their backyard :)

Oh Cherra...I remember when that happened! How awful.
