I survived my wedding anniversary

Yesterday would have been my 18th wedding anniversary. I had a few tears yesterday morning but pulled myself together.

I had a day filled with plans so I wouldn't be sitting about the house, went and got my hair done then out for dinner and a movie with a friend. Although it was a sad day it wasn't as sad as I expected.

Beginning to realise that my ex a gave me a gift the day he walked out.

I'm glad you are feeling better about things Butterfly.

Sending you a big hug--how did your hair come out?

Didn't you say you also joined a gym?

Taking care of yourself is a really wise and helpful to recovery

Good for you Butterfly. Much better to plan your day in advance, and make an effort not to brood. It's all progress.

Great idea to plan a busy day, Butterfly, and good to hear it was only "normal" sad. My 18th is coming up very soon also -- I think my boss will keep me busy, lol.

Thank you everyone.

Hawkeye I'm loving my hair and yes I joined a gym about a year ago but never went until last week, a friend dragged me to a class lol. I loved it so am going again tomorrow and also to the cinema on my own!!!!! Gonna make a real effort to go more often.

I've taken a few days off work and have used the time to meet up with female friends who I haven't seen in a while and I've kinda neglected my friendships for many years during my marriage and lost contact with a lot of people so I'm trying to reach out and make it up. So I've a busy few days ahead.

Definitely a good idea to plan ahead and make plans to do nice and fun things oh and my counselling will start again in 2 weeks I got a call yesterday to say another counsellor had become available!

Everything comes at the right time I guess.
