My DD graduates from High School today! (OT)
She walks tonight with her white gown (honors) and moves on to another chapter in her life. I am excited for her, but anxious as well. I know that she will be fine, but I worry about the little details. I am also a little anxious about all of the time that I will find alone with just myself for company :c025:
She has her first year of University paid for, so at least there will be no financial worries at this point.
XAH has been doing his part, and has even stayed sober for the evening events these last two weeks. I did have to call him during the one evening that there were no activities, and he was clearly on his way to intoxicated. So I finished my business with him and quickly signed off before he could engage me in his endless dissertation about some trivial event that he thought I should be concerned about.
I am just so glad that I moved on before this school year was over. My worries about DD handling the break-up and divorce were probably based on my own fear of change. I think we were all better off in the long run (XAH, included). |
