I guess I need to head back to Al Anon

So RAH and I have really got caught up in a new show. There are two brothers on the show - the first caught my eye because he is stunning, I mean he is 6 foot something of beautiful. His character is an awesome guy, great husband and father. Loves his wife doesn't cheat on her. Loves his kids, loves all his family. Hard worker. Dedicated to his job. He's funny and fun to be around.

Then there is the other brother. He is very sexy not gorgeous. Eyes to die for. A total loser. Alcoholic drug user. Drug dealer. Liar. Thief. When he opens his mouth he is either lying or manipulating. Uses the family for whatever he can gain. He looks like he smells he wears the same wife beater in every show. Chain smokes minimum 100 cigs a day. Is comfortable sleeping on a bed as under a bush. He has no conscience. Seems to be content as long as he has $50 bucks to go to the bar or buy a bottle and sit under a bridge. Totally charismatic and has bull's balls - there isn't anything he wont't try. His teeth are the color of a pecan, and he has the pasty, sickly pallor of an addict.

AND.....If I could only get my hands on him. Last night I was thinking hmmmm......Get some bleaching trays, clean up the hair, buy him some new clothes, I bet he would be great in bed those types always are......forget brother #1 he's boring.

Red what the F*** are you thinking?????

I started laughing at myself of course RAH asked "what's so funny"? Even in TV land old habits die hard.

Everyone loves a "badboy" Red! I know for a fact that I married one!

LexieCat 05-20-2015 04:44 AM

LOL, "I'm not a codependent--but I play one on TV."

dandylion 05-20-2015 05:45 AM

red.....I don't know if you are familiar with the work of Harville Hendrix Ph.D and Imago Theory of attraction.
If not.....I think you would find it immensely fascinating---as an explanation of why we are attracted to certain characteristics and repulsed (or not attracted) by others......

Ha! The more pitiful the better - I can relate. Lmao. You forgot to add that 'I am for sure an independent smart girl that will have a good time and simply walk away when it's no longer fun. easy peasy '. ;) I'm going to add that book to my list dandylion!

Dandy that's some interesting stuff and I have never heard of it.

I don't spend a lot of time pouring over my childhood honestly I had a really good one. Of my 4 siblings I am the only "rebel" and certainly was the one who got in the most trouble. I have pondered why it was that we could all be raised the same and it was me who ended up like that, and a codie to boot. I do not see codependency in my siblings and they certainly are NOT rebels lol.

My mom developed psychotic post part depression after I was born and was institutionalized. Of course I don't have any memory of that and only found out a couple of years ago. As a child and adolescent I always felt she loved me, she was very vocal and affectionate, but I also felt that she resented the hell out of me.

Will have to read some more on that its fascinating.

I have to ask... WHAT SHOW?

HAHA! GAH - we are so sick!

Every time I see a celebrity and think, Wow - HE'S HOT! Immediately my brain flys to "well, now you know he's an addict." For me, Hot = addict. At least I recognize, huh?!

daydreamer0217 05-20-2015 09:01 AM

But RDJ is a shining example of REAL recovery. So it's OK to drool over him. :)

redatlanta......I hear what you are saying. I feel so curious about so many things, also. For example---the field of genetics is so interesting to me......
I, sometimes, see whole families that look like a collection of clones of each other.....and, at other times, there are families where not one person looks vaguely similar to another one!!!!
LOL! It all fills me with wonderment......

This came up in thread a while back, so I apologize for repeating myself, but Billy Bob Thornton in Bad Santa .

Yum.

Disfunction doesn't get any more delicious than that!

Well, I have never thought of fixing them I have always found the biker bad @ss to be hot. From the time I was five and had my first crush on the Fonz and then Vinnie Barbarino . Guess I have always needed Al-Anon.

However, my husband is the exact opposite. But, I always find him sexier when he dresses to ride.:c043:

redatlanta 05-20-2015 03:06 PM
