Tracy McMillan says that the best person and the ONLY person you really need to marry is yourself. Her childhood was spent to an alcoholic prostitute mother, and an abandoning father, with years of being scooted between foster homes. Her story really resonated with me. And Ted Talks are awesome! Wish the link worked. Probably why no-one has given it a look.
