Is there a F&F forum like this for EDs?
Is there a F&F forum like this for EDs?
Hi all, quick question -
I know we have an ED section for people struggling with food-related issues - but I'm trying to find a busy forum for Friends and Family of people with eating disorders (bulimia, specifically).
I'm helping a friend find resources to deal with a situation he has found himself in with his lady. :/ SR has been such a blessing to me, I was hoping there was an analgous forum out there for him! Know of anything?
Sorry for the off-topic topic!
Thanks!

I just found this with a quick Google search--not sure how active it is: OAAnon. You might also want to just check out the main OA site.

www.something-fishy.org is an amazing resource for sufferers and family/friends. There are articles, chat rooms, forums--much like SR here.
I struggled with an ED for nearly 14 years and found this website to be really helpful.
Good luck to you both.

We have an Eating Disorders sub-forum here at SR. There is a lot of general information and links there if you would like to check it out.

A book that I reccomend to all those struggling with ED (and loved ones) is Eating in the Light of the Moon by Anita Johnson.
I also had family/friends come to some of my therapy appts so I could have a "professional" talk about it with them. That helped both of us a lot.
