Speaking of Reminder! Remind me Plz
Hi Gang,
If anyone would kindly remind me that Alcoholism is progressive and that it doesn't get better without help. Please also remind me that no matter how "functioning" they may seem- it's an illusion. Had a daydream thought today, almost bought into it- but said, "blank to that" I'm texting Sr! God bless you all! I'd appreciate it! Thank you! (If you know where I read up on it! Tell me loud! Bernadette, that is so definitely true! You only have to read the posts to see it day in and day out. They don't function for long, that is quite for sure!!

Alcoholism is a chronic and pontentially fatal disease that will continue to progress until the individual stops drinking completely. even then while the disease is in "remission" it continues to progress, so if the individual drinks again after 5 years or 10 years of complete abstinence, it will be as if they never stopped.
