Lack of Support
Sorry for a moan - my ABF admitted he physically needs a drink - we contacted the Alcohol Liaison and there is a wait for support.
He has reduced his drinking and admitted he feels it will end where he was before. His sister then went on a giilt trip about his hospital admission which led him to tears.
Yhere is little support for me also as Al-anon and Family Support too far & I have now lost my job so no money either :/ I have a gp appt to be referred to the mental health team.
I really love him but don't want to see what I saw last time...

I know you don't want to hear this Catareta but it sounds like you have
your hands full dealing with your own issues, and his "acting like a househusband"
for a few days cannot really make up for the fact that you end up taking care of
him and worrying about him instead of priortizing your own needs.
Maybe he needs to sort himself out and you need to step back?
I'm so sorry you are dealing with this so soon out of the hospital

The funny thing is - we care for each, he just needs the support to be instilled quicker (He wont go to AA due similar concerns re location).
He hasn't lied or hid his drinking to me - he admits bills come first & said he would reduce if it gets tight. He knows what he is doing to himself & I will be there for him.
My golden rules are if he ever stole or hit me in anger he will be out.
