Small Relapsing leading to full?

Oh ****..I don'g need this. RABF -if you can call it that is starting to drink cider shandies as had enough of kiddies shandy... I don't know what to do, I am recovering from own illness and don't want a fight as need to rest.

If you have someone involved in his recovery to call, call them I think.
You can't stop him or deal with this right out of the hospital Catareta.

It sounds like you need to be getting out of this situation if it keeps getting worse.
It is taking a terrible toll on your physical and mental health.

What do you think? What does your gut say, not your head?

I agree with Hawkeye. You need to focus on yourself and your own healing. You physically and mentally cannot do this right now.

I have no local friends but the flat is in my name & I cannot go home as my mum is moving.
I don't want to tittle tattle to his parents but I am not sure I can do this.

I see this as self preservation, not tattling. He isn't a little boy, stop worrying about him and make priority what your needs are at this time w/o guilt because you've been unwell. You said it yourself...YOU own the flat.

Personally, I'd contact the "alcohol team" and let THEM contact his parents, telling them that he is not welcome to live at your house anymore. They are there to help HIM, YOU need to speak up and tell his helpers that he needs to find a new place to live.

You've been ill, you don't need any more of this on your plate than absolutely necessary.

Alcohol team are unable to help - he has to call them. They suggested I call the mental health team for self & try to reason with him first. I.E make the cider last past Monday.

I don't his mum & sister to blame me for allowing it in the house either...

It seems to me much of this is HIS to deal with. If the flat is in your name......

There's really no reasoning with an alcoholic who's drinking. And for you to try to do that in your condition is insane. Is there a social worker at the hospital (your hospital) who might be able to help get him out of there? It seems to be necessary for your own recovery from your medical event.
