A Dry Drunk, but Just Toward Me?

Hey Tod.
Somewhere beyond Drunk and Dry Drunk . . . there are Mental Disorders. Talking about real hardware pain-in-the brain -- things-are-not-working-right-up-there.
Let me skip all the DX stuff, industry lingo terms and on and on. Let's just say there was often a real reason that they were drinking (and all the rest of whatever) and that may have been because things were not quite right in the headspace.
Skipping all the Her, Her, Her stuff about this because SHE is not here. You are. You are the ONLY one you can work on. But for now (and most cases) THAT is good enough.
Here is what I have found to be a pretty good guidebook (this is beyond Alanon -- Alanon is more about Alcohol, per se). But it does go right to the heart of dealing with folks with Personality Disorders. Good stuff for where *we* may find ourselves.

Since we are the ones here, and the ones with that problem, that is a Good Thing.
