I wonder how many people realize that cats think Christmas comes once a year for them. We put up the tree for them. Decorate it for them. Wrap boxes with crinkly paper for them. Think about it. We hang little shiny things from a tree. I mean, come on, the holiday has cat written all over it!

That made me laugh so much, I don't think I have to buy them toys now. I already gave it to them !!!!!!!!!!!

What started all of this thinking, I was at my friends house yesterday. She asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I truly couldn't think of anything. So I asked her the same question, "What would you like for Christmas"? Neither of us could think of anything. We have what we want and need. Family and Friends. So I suggested nice warm cozy PJ's and when I sleep over we could wear them while we have our hot chocolate.

She still told me to go home and think about it, and I did, and I looked over everything in my house, and I couldn't think of a thing. I just want what I have.

OK, I also want a snow thrower, and a lawn mower, (lol), but that I'll get when they go on sale.

I actually do like where I am now, and I love the friends I have now. My Christmas wishes for all my years are fulfilled.

I'm really one lucky person. I dreaded the unknown, and the unknown turned out to be the best thing. All I want for Christmas is love. I have that now.

Thanks again everyone
Couldn't have done this without you

What a beautiful house! It's so cozy and has so much character. And the kitties are the perfect roommates, right?! I love cats, especially orange ones. Your orange one reminds me a lot of my buff tabby. He is crazy and makes me laugh everyday. It sounds like a nice, peaceful life you are living. Happy holidays!

You deserve it Amy also because it has probably not been a pain -free journey to get where you are now;it takes courage and persistance and learning to enjoy living with ourselves, rather than fearing it.

I don't begrudge you your contentment Amy, but god I envy it right now!

Thank you Amy! I'm trying to believe it will get better so badly. I'm terrified of this holiday but your post has given me so much hope for the future! Enjoy!

Congratulations Amy. YOU DID IT!

I will hope that you are an inspiration to many other females here. Women believe they can't do all you just described doing.

I applaud you for taking the step and then being successful at it.

Merry XMas.
