New Year, New Me!
Marie1960 has inspired me to start this thread...
New Year Resolutions!
I need to make obvious changes in my life and i want to begin the new year with a few commitments to myself. I plan to start seeing a therapist twice a month until i feel strong and have a grip on my codependency . This really isn't a choice anymore. I have to do this. I can't keep making the same mistakes over and over. I need to make better choices, not only for me, but for my 11 year old son as well.
Anyone willing to share their NYR?

I'm going to finally unpack in my new home. I moved here in 2011, with all the work I needed done, I never did fully unpack. Going to get my house in order, and along with that my life. I have always felt that my house and I were healing together. (My house was a foreclosure and needed major work, we were both abused).
Also going to start getting out of the house more, join in some of the activities in my community. Hate to say this, but I have still been isolating.
Going to take a vacation and see my mom in Florida.
Happy New Year

Take a daily vitamin pill, start to deep condition my hair weekly and have a weekly face masque, wear perfume again and start to interact with people more. Also to appreciate the good things in my life - my cats and my friends - the ones who are left are diamonds!

Wait. What? Do people actually do that? But if I take my books out of the boxes what will I use as end tables?
Other than stealing Amy's resolution to get my house unpacked, my New Year's resolution is to stop making excuses for inaction. Live purposefully, with forward motion.

i like this very much!
going to have to steal it.
I was looking for some words of wisdom, to add to a christmas card for a friend who is going thru a bad time.
Not to mention this is what I am going to practice!
