hello and thanks

I should probably "out" myself here and let on why this alcoholic hangs out on occasion with the lovely folk on the "other side" so to speak.

My sister is 2 years younger than me and still drinking.

She drank through a pregnancy, cut back, but still drank...... weaned the little one within weeks and got straight back into full swing.

Netted herself an absolutely rock solid enabler of a husband.... Stubborn as ten mules. She always could pick em but this one isn't a quitter.

The others all did quit eventually.

My Mum and Dad adopted both of us, so it's not even a genetic thing... God gave us to them... Which i can now see quite clearly.

Mum was a born Al-anon.

Never nagged about my drinking.... Just let me crash and then was there for me when I did.

She went to one al anon meeting once... Came away with "got it" and has never been back so far as I know.... Mum.

Anyhoo.... Thanks for sharing your life and stories from the other side with me.

Really appreciate it

Helps with the

So far as my sister goes
