I'm silvering and growing my hair out too so I don't deal with this garb... But, as a licensed cosmetologist myself, it is unprofessional to dump on your clients! If anything, they should be allowed to talk to the stylist about anything they feel comfortable about. At least that is how I was taught.

I have one stylist that trims my hair once a year. Anything more than that is excessive. lol

I am so fortunate. My hair stylist is a dear friend who I've known for 20 years. He's been sober much of that time. He's the one who helped me get sober. He is a vibrant, talented, hilarious, gigantic gay man with an operatic voice and a zest for life. Any drama we discuss is **** we can both laugh at.

Finding a new stylist sounds like a good idea. There are plenty out there and you don't need the drama. You've got your own recovery to deal with.
