I thought I had posted this a while ago but I can't find it in my old posts. (Maybe I posted it in response to another post & not as a new thread but the search function is not working well these days & I can't find anything by keyword.)
Anyway, I love this short illustrated video which highlights Brene Brown's theory of sympathy vs. empathy. The way she defines empathy makes sense to me & helps me see empathy as something that can be achieved while maintaining a sense of detachment. (something that so many of us strive for, yet detachment can be difficult to recognize.)
Figured I'd share it again since I can't bump my old post, lol.
