If you think of alcoholism as an out of control freight train, you can quickly grasp the insanity of thinking you can stop that train by yourself.
So .... step out the way to avoid damage to yourself, but realise that an out of control freight train will eventually run into something more powerful that is capable of stopping it.
Then you have to deal with the wreckage.
Which is a daunting prospect too.
But the good news is, you don't have to deal with the wreckage alone if you don't want to.
You never see just one person at the scene of a freight train wreck ... right ?
While the train is still running, start gathering your clean up crew
All the best !!
